We are seeking a motivated Accounting & Financial Analyst to join a growing finance team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will support a variety of accounting, financial analysis, project accounting, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable activities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining financial information and reporting for assigned projects and contracts.
- Support monthly financial reporting by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Track project-related expenses, including labor, travel, paid time off, and other direct costs.
- Review employee expense reports and reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of purchase requests and purchase orders.
- Review and validate vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
- Support project accounting activities, including cost tracking, budget monitoring, and forecasting.
- Prepare customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections and cash application activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.
- Prepare financial analyses, reports, and Excel-based tracking tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.
- Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and project management teams on various projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- 1-4 years of accounting, finance, accounts receivable, project accounting, or related experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, reconciliations, or financial reporting preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within an accounting and finance organization.
